When Do Most People Get Married?

Hawaii Titanium Rings recently did a small study on wedding dates using our sales records and the results were interesting. June was the expected winner as far as save the dates go with July and August being the runners-up.

The surprise was that Fall Weddings are becoming just as popular. September and October were the months that had the biggest numbers after summer, even more than April and May. The real shocker was that February was the month with the least weddings! We thought  Valentines Day would be the winner as it is our busiest time, but now we realize this is actually proposal time.

Another amazing discovery was that  winter weddings almost equaled Spring weddings, and the anniversaries in November and December exceeded all of January, February, and March put together. April and May beat the winter months but not by much.

We note our client's anniversary dates if it was recorded on their order and try to send a note of appreciation around that month to thank them for letting us be a part of their special time. If you want an anniversary reminder, let us know, we are happy to put you on our Anniversary List and send you a note the month before. Mahalo!

Wood~The Five Year Anniversary Gift

Tradition tells us wood is the five-year anniversary gift, but finding a romantic wood symbol to present to your mate can be tricky. Wood rings are the perfect solution for a man or woman! Our matching rings are made with consecutive cuts of wood for couples to feel added connection~that's romance!

Wood was chosen as the 5-year gift because at this point in a marriage a couple has formed a strong bond and wood represents strength and stability. Koa is the common choice in Hawaii but we encourage clients to choose a wood that has deep meaning to them. We have woods from all over the world so they can choose a wood from their present region or a wood from a place rich with family history.

One man sent us wood from a tree his son and new wife swung from as kids growing up as neighbors; a truly special anniversary gift for his son and the girl next door. The wood can be from where you met or where you were born, it just has to be at least two years dry.

Other reasons for wood rings...Recently build your first house? Send us a left-over piece of wood to inlay and celebrate this big moment with more than just a toast! A ring set we will never forget was made for a couple who lost their house in a tornado. We were honored to preserve the wood from their destroyed house in rings to keep its memory still standing.

What wood represents you? Each tree has its own personality and story to tell just like humans. If you don't have a favorite tree, now is the time to establish a relationship with these forest giants just as you would a birthstone or astrological sign. After all, trees have been around as long as the rest if not longer, making them the perfect symbol of a happy, long-lasting marriage.

Round or Flat Profiles-What is the Difference?

The profiles we offer are flat or round and so let us simplify this for our clients buying online. The flat profiled rings are pictured in the top photos and the rings with the round are below that. Note that the round/flat description refers to the shape of the titanium and you can see how it comes around to the face of the ring, whereas the flat ring is not as beveled.

All of our rings are comfort fit, so think of the profile as the ring shape rather than the fit. Some clients like the bulk of the round profiles, and many men who do heavy manual work with their hands prefer it because the titanium comes around to grip their finger, making it harder to catch on things. The flat profiles are preferred and/or suggested with certain designs(like the Big Kahuna) and for clients who want thin-walled rings.

The bottom line is we start with a solid bar of titanium and hand-shape each ring, so if there is a ring you see on our website that you are unsure which profile it possesses, we can match the ring profile you like for your design. We are happy to work with you so you get exactly what you want in a ring and more!

Do You Inlay Gold and Silver Rings?

Gold and Carbon Fiber Ring

Another frequent question at Hawaii Titanium Rings is do you make gold or silver rings and the answer is no. The reason is that titanium is the only metal strong enough to hold an inlay without bending or shattering. The strength of titanium gives us the confidence to offer a lifetime guarantee.

We do inlay gold and silver into the titanium, though, and have many styles to choose from! The rose gold inlays go beautifully with all colors especially the blues. The green gold looks amazing next to the Purpleheart Wood which was a surprise to us! The white gold matches the titanium and is great for custom image designs.

Gold inlays are a great way for a man to have the strength of titanium and still have an element of their spouses ring incorporated into theirs. Men are much harder on their hands than they realize; their grip is where they execute most of their strength in their daily activities, so titanium is a perfect match for them.

Titanium is also becoming a symbol of strength in marriage; its durability makes it possible for your rings to be passed down for generations. We can engrave your wedding date so your kids and grandchildren can remember when the magic all began.

We offer yellow, white, green, and rose gold, all 14k, and we also offer sterling silver. Check out the Carbon Fiber designs too, the men love the masculine aspect of it and the white makes a perfect wedding band! Mahalo to all the tough guys who wear our rings!
